I’ve taken private lessons and book clubs with Belen and she is a great teacher! Always energetic and fun. She really puts a lot of time and effort into her classes. Based on my experience, she’s a step up from the language instructors at the Spanish schools in Tamarindo plus she is a great person as well. Belen is an incredible Spanish teacher. I’m in the very beginning stages of learning Spanish and she is very understanding and patient. She breaks everything down into small bite sized chunks which makes it much easier to learn. Her energy is infectious and motivates me to keep learning and trying. At times I want to just give up but she is always there to get me back on track. If you are wanting to learn Spanish with the best teacher around… hire Belen! You will not be disappointed!

Belen is absolutely the best Spanish instructor. She has an actual lesson plan and paces the class according to your ability and learning pace. She keeps learning interesting, interactive, fun and applicable to everyday life situations. Highly recommend!!!

I have been searching for a teacher in order to learn Spanish and become fluent and proficient as I now live in Costa Rica. I saw on many forums that ‘Spanish by Belen’ was HIGHLY recommended. I have now taken several classes with her – and she has certainly lived up to her reputation!! I LOVE the classes with her and it is exciting to learn from her. If you’re looking for an EXCELLENT Spanish teacher…..I cannot recommend her strongly enough. You will NOT be disappointed!! I will remain a student of hers until I am fully fluent and proficient.

Working with Belen to learn Spanish is such a treat! She makes classes fun and engaging by coming up with new activities and games to drive home important concepts. I would highly recommend Belen to anyone who is just starting out or is hoping to learn new verb tenses and improve their vocabulary. I specifically enjoyed working with other students at a similar skill level and laughing alongside them as we all learned how to better express ourselves!
